Trend Watch: Jewelled Tones

The design trends for 2017 have been set and we’re expected to see some contemporary movements such as themes of ‘Wonderland’ and more traditional trends. One predicted trend that sits amongst the more classical design movements is ‘jewelled tones’, with particular emphasis in the furniture world.

Expect deep turquoise and rich purple velvet furniture, from large sofas to grand arm chairs, this trend is definitely one to add some luxury into your home.

If you don’t feel brave enough to splash out on a grand piece of jewel toned furniture, why not subtly incorporate the trend by accessorising your room with velvet cushions or curtains.

At Somnus, we aim to keep on top of upcoming trends. We’re truly prepared for this forecasted 2017 trend, with the release of our new fabric – Merlin Hysop. A deep purple featured on luxurious crushed velvet, our new fabric fits in perfectly with the lavish Merlin range and the jewelled toned trend set to hit our homes.
