Trend Watch: Burnt Orange

At Somnus we like to keep up with the trends, and one trend that is currently sweeping the interiors world is the 1970’s resurrection of burnt orange. Whether it’s a rusty burnished tone or a clean tangerine, this new orange trend will infuse any room with energy.

You can go one of two ways with this trend. If you are feeling brave, why not go full out with this trend, adorning your room with burnt orange retro furniture mixed with dashes of modern accessories, to keep it up to date. Or you could play with a more subtle look in a traditional room, using hints of burnt orange in the form of cushions or some floor length curtains in plush velvet.

At Somnus we’re one step ahead of the trend world with the release of our new fabric ‘Seven Saffron’. We’ve embraced this vibrant modern colour by releasing a new fabric helping to capture the trend at the heart of your bedroom – your bed.

Why not transform your bedroom into a retro haven by picking any of our headboard designs and encasing it in Seven Saffron.

This trend won’t be for everyone however, luckily all Somnus headboards are available in a range of colours and widths to suit your individual décor and bed size. You can also choose from a deep continental-style or strut option.
